Dunno lol, I was referreing to the textures that you wanted to use. That ship lol.

Oh right. I'll post a pic with the bit I was talking about.

Edit: Heres the pic
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Ok lol, I was going to do the texturing myself. I can't see the armour being too difficult myself. But i'll give you a shout if I get really stuck. It's a long way off that stage yet though.

Oooo I just remembered about the Gen Galaxy bridge that I retextured, how about using it on this with a few moddel enhancements? I'd have to get permission of 3rd era to alter the mesh though. I've already got permission for the retexture.

Anyway i'd wanna make it a blend between this:

this:

and a some other stuff. But i'll get the ship finished first.

My goal = release a ship that contains everything. (bridge, shuttles, etc)

I like fat ships and I can not lie... ;)

Nah... it looks awesome. Take all the time you want or need to polish it. I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait, either way.

lol

id say a huge package (bridge, ship, etc) might not be a bad idea...  i guess it would only depend on what the filesize would be and if you find that one project starts taking longer than you thought...  but everyone will still be here anyway so time doesnt quite matter (unless people start begging for one thing or the other lol)...
the bridge retexture looks good so far - im a fan of bridge retextures :)

excellent!  altho the gen gal bridge doesnt have animated lcars (if i recall correctly), except the ones in the back but they cycle slowly...  you could use map swapping tho im sure...

I'll take a look at the LCARS. It'll be a while until I get to the bridge. I wanna get the ship 100% completed until i move onto a differnt part.

As for the file size, I'm not too bothered. It could be 200+ mb for all I care lol.

true - but there are some people at BCFiles that prefer smaller filesizes...  tho not many...

Right, i've been messing with the nacelles. I've made them longer and moved them foreword. It doesn't look that much different but I think it makes the ship look more balanced. The nacelles always seemed too far back to me. I need help getting the end of the pylons to blend neatly into the nacelles so could someone please help me with that (Aeries ? :D)? I was thinking of making them animated aswell. I want to make the blue part on the sides a lot bigger and make an animation that's like Voyager's warp core (The swirling effect).

don't get to hasty just yet.... variable geometry warp nacelles were basically used to better control the warp field and to eliminate any damage to the subspace layer that may have been caused by the ship while in flight. Now considering the fact that in 2371, voyager was top of the line... by the time the Enterprise-E was launched in 2372....obviously not long after the disappearance of voyager only a year later, the problems were fixed. not to mention that adding geometry nacelles to the century is a bit overkill in my opinion. awesome work on the model though, almost creamed myself lol...
does this thing ever get old? seriously.... i've been here for ever and nothing new happened. this must be purgatory

first of all, you shouldn't bump a three month old thread, and secondly I think he meant animated texture maps not moving nacelles.

Guess you didn't read the whole thread lol. I settled for replacing them with naccelles from the Legacy class (see below). Anyways, thanks for your input :D

(Old pics btw:)

Btw, the ship is kinda sitting on the hdd of my broken pc so there's not much i can do atm. She will be finished one day though ;)
