The Polaris Class is completed along with its yacht named "Ursae." The ship features saucer separation, and deployable yacht. The final polycount is 21.7k polies.

When I get to the textures, one of the ships will be named Sambreign (I like the name, but it is too close to Sovereign). :) Other details such as the deflector dish might be rebuilt as I progress with textures.

Enjoy these pics!  :D If a section of images appear too small, simply right-mouse click and select "view image" to see full resolution.

I've had BC off my system for nearly 6 months, but I might reinstall just for the pleasure of flying that beauty of a yacht around!  And Bashir was right: the saucer sep sectioning is great.  Right on par with DJ's work.

My only critique, is to possibly make the aft end of the yacht a bit "taller", so as to allow a small conference-room area in the back, similar to the Danube Runabout (http://images.wikia.com/memoryalpha/en/images/a/a3/Danube_class%2C_aft_section.jpg). Not sure if the "roof" needs to slope down a lot towards the back end.

Posting an illustrated suggestion:

Cookied ofcourse :)

Wiley i hate you  ok maybe not hate but i am envious the the Nth degree.

Seriously though that is amazing. I feel shame as i look at those then consider my attempts... even as im writing this im shaking my head at the awesomeness.

i hope one day to progress to half that ability... cant see it but it'd be nice.

I cant even understand how you do most of the details... but especially the indents for the yacht and the separation sections.

again

and.... (shakes head in disbelief and becomes speechless)

OMFG I may be late to the party but... was this ship ever mentioned to have slipstream?
It looks freaking fantastic.
