I might go with the Type 11's and a couple of other shuttles.  Type 9's as well.  Are there any other decent type 9's out there?

will be soon. hopefully primes making one for the DQP. & if not, theres the one from the CGI Voy pack.

Work is back on with this baby.? I need a better Steamrunner though than Reddragons...it's not completely accurate, and I'm having a hard time texturing her correctly.? I'm considering the P81/C2 model, but need the TGA texture files instead of the NIF's.? Can anyone help with this?? I don't have milkshape anymore lol

Odd. Do you have the Steamrunner from KM 1.0? Cos the textures are tgas's there. I redid the P81/C2 one for KM-R.

Can anyone help me with mesh errors?  I'll be on MSN later today (I'm in the library skipping class :D).  I really want to get the Steamrunner up and running, and get it ready for SDT as well (Wow y'know?  Ship packs!)  And I kinda need help with ship names other than the Appalachia (which i'm close to those mountains...GO NC!!!) I'm going to have to research sometime today :).

In other news i've worked very slowly on the Sovereign...i'm trying to add material to the mesh (bottom of the saucer most notibly) and plan on boolean that together once finished.

All that I need now is the Norway and Sabre class (I still haven't heard from QBall about using his for this pack)

For Steamrunner names, maybe:

Canon Ships:
Steamrunner (:P I mean everything other ship has had its class name stuck on (USS Intrepid, Intrepid Class; USS Galaxy, Galaxy Class))

Other:
Copernicus
Rotarran (yes I know, its a Klingon ship, but it could be like a ship of honour :D)
Ascendant
Mesozoic
Aztec

Well it'd be a given there would be a USS Steamrunner :P.? I'm not too fond of Rotarran, though thanks for that suggestion!

EDIT:? I've fixed the mesh errors on the C2 Steamrunner :D.? Thank you NIFTools!!!!!

EDIT2:  Can anyone help me with the C2 Norway?  Those textures are still in NIF Format...and well, I don't have milkshape :P

since C2 used p81 mods and textures Mostly I belive that should have the original textures and lightmaps

Hiroshima is another canon Steamrunner.

Canon names for the other three ships:
[Akira]Other than Akira and Thunderchild
Rabin NCC-63293
Spector

[Saber]Other than Saber and Yeager
none that I could find

[Norway]Other than Norway and Budapest
none that I could find

So thats, four Akiras, three Steamrunners, two Sabers and two Norways that have names(that I could find so far).
All hail the messiah!

You guys are on the right track with Bright Glows.  The problem is the Specular Maps have a white Alpha Channel, they should be black to prevent this bug.

The bug doesn't show up UNTIL the ship has been hit and NanoFX triggers the Light Flickering (Turning Alpha's on and off to produce the FX)...... so I assume his Laptop has a different config than his PC (Specs off, different NanoFX Settings) causing different results.

You can do one of 3 things to fix this issue....

1. Fix your Specular Maps with a Black Alpha Channel (best solution)
2. Turn off Light Flickering in NanoFX config (no flickering will occur on ship hits or Ship Exploding)
3. Turn on Bright Glow Fix in NanoFX config (this basically turns off Specular Highlights once a Light Flicker occurs)

Now you guys know the issue and the fixes...... spread the word!

you wont find any other Norway names, apparently the CGI model was corrupted after First Contact and never rebuilt

LOL I know this Nano, trust me, it's just my crappy PC (worse than Jimmy's I think).? I need a new one.? Glows work excellent on my laptop however.? And NanoFX is installed on both computers :).  And customized the same way...I just have the bright glow bug fix turned off :P

But I do appreciate your help!? Cookies for that!

Ok, I've started working on the Steamrunner, at least modeling wise trying to add phasers (YAY BOOLEAN!) I'm gonna have a hard time with this one...as far as getting them (the phasers) pretty much the same size.  I've already added ID glows but the damned original file needs to be updated a bit *grumble grumble* As it's not exactly centered...Pics to come shortly :)

if you include the SCE in the Canon then you have USS DaVinchi (Saber Class)

Yeah, but for now I'm gonna worry about the Steamrunner and the Norway :).?  They need modeled phasers...badly lol

EDIT:  And I'm gonna have to redo the phasers...I'm going to try the tutorial Cpt. Hooker made a while back again, I just couldn't get it right the first fifty times around :( Maybe luck will be with me this time :)

Well phasers are coming along....slowly :S.  Damned things are pretty hard to make.  Then there's the fact that I'll need to re-boolean everything once I'm finished making the phasers and weld everything together :S.

You could just colour the bits on the spec's black and see what happens.

@ eclipse. good work! I hope you get the phasers finished right :D.

You know, I would love to bribe the person that knows how to add a black alpha channel to my specular maps...perhaps it is because I greyscale them before I use the equalize tool, but for some reason I cant save the TGA with an alpha channel.
What program are you using?
