If you want, I can take a look if you send me the ship file (the one in scripts/Ships), maybe it's some setting other than burn/hole value that is either very low or very high.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Since all three seem to have the same problem.  Here are the ship files.

Unfortunately, I haven't found an anomaly.

I suppose you have already tried swapping in a stock model, just to see if it is that?
Could is also be that you have double faced polygons, or if the model is hollow?

little problem exists with this ship atm, maybe someone knows what to do.  basically, it seems that enemy weapons fire from directly ahead goes right through the shields and does a great deal of damage.  any ideas why this is?

edit: to further refine this explanation:  it seems that torpedo hits directly to the hull cause devastating damage.  so in other words, a single torpedo to the saucer destroys nearly the whole thing.  There must be a value somewhere I can change that will fix this.

DJ, I'm not exactly sure but maybe your damage radius (in the HP) for the hull may be to large?

isnt there also a bug in bc where if your going to fast toward a torpedo that it goes right through shields?

I remember something like that happening to me but sometimes one torpedo from full volley (about 8 ) goes through shields even if my ship stands still , isn't it NanoFX critical hit (although I'm not sure if that was the name) feature ?

Yeah thats the critical hit feature.

But anyway, I think if Mleo finds nothing wrong with the script, then it must be the model.

Have you checked the ship model itself? is it centered properly, etc? Just a thought, but maybe she ship is set outside the shield bubble radius if the model itself isn't centered... that or I'm just being dumb. x__x I honestly haven't gotten to anywhere near that stage yet. :P
