I lightened up the picture a bit. The lighting was really bad in that section. Hope this helps.

Oh.

*slaps forehead*

To be fair, the picture I posted was straight from the trailer, although it was from YouTube with the HD button pressed.

I thought the TOS hull markings were added to Wileys because of 'artistic liscensing'. Totally wrong. Sorry to drag this thread off-topic.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Bussard sides need to be a bit more rounded (if your attempting a "Galaxy"-esque nacelle design) Looks pretty well rounded in general, but it is plainly obvious that it gets very "squared" along the sides of the bussards.

The different nacelles look okay, but definitely needs some "refinement" in some areas. Other than these suggestions, it looks to be coming along quite nicely. Will be interesting to see what type of texturing style you use for it.

personally, I'd orient them vertically, and rewrap the strip onto the broad side, or simply remove the manifold from the mounting point foreward.  but then, i have a fondness for the refit type.

oh, if Markd shows up, tell him some of us HAVE the Gagarin, and would like permission to honour some more Soviet Starters (i have three names allready in mind)

best line I've ever read
Me: mine [my bridges] would probably be simple to get the characters to use.  the only person that sits is the captian.
Baz: space is vast there[sic] legs will be tired by the time they get to the next planet

I would figure Leonov would be one of them.

I've made the bussards more square then the galaxy's to better suit the angler lines of the connie.

I have already tried rotating the nacelles but it look awful so they stay as they are.

I'd get rid of those impulse engines.  They don't look right on the ship.  Probably best to construct an impulse engine reminiscent of the TMP impulse engines, but with a slightly updated look.

The warp engines don't look right that way.  Makes the ship feel shorter.  Perhaps making them cylindrical with a TNG feel, something based off the Ambassador design rather than the Galaxy design.

F9: the Gagarin variant uses exactly what your describing allready.  let Baz do his own take.

how much effort would/does it take to stretch the nacelles a few meters?
he's right about the impulse deck, though.  I'd think the backwash would mess with the nacelles or their pylons.  course, I'm having a similar problem with the basic design of my King Class.

I thought we were allowed to make comments and offer some suggestions?  Or am I not allowed to do that while you are?

You can keep the impulse engines as they are right now. But to prevent them looking like the Enterprise-B's, you can simply make them just come out of the saucer rim, or you can make a "cut-out" section for them like the Ent-D.
