that one with the specular highlights: I think you have to change something in NanoFX also, but dont know exactly right now. Its something with the glow, i think.

Beta over.  Thanks for all the input, everybody.  I'll make tweaks etc and release this weekend.

Possible error.  I'm not sure if it's the model or something else but sometimes the Ship's running lights will disappear.  You can see in these pics that from this angle the lights on the Nacelles are gone, but when I tilt the ship, they begin to reappear.  The same goes for the flashing lights, although you can't tell that from still photos.
That has nothing to do with DJ's Sov, it's a well known NanoFX error.  It's the reason why I never really bother with Nav lights on ships anymore...

Turn off "Fix Bright Glow Bug".

DJ - will you be doing a USS Sovereign registry as well as a USS Enterprise registry?

 :yeahthat:

I'd like to play as both ships!  Hell I'm still wondering if there will be blanks made? :)

also, it would be good for SP use since SP has both ships in the campaign...
and for that matter, will this overwrite the stock Sovvy?  im hoping it will so i dont have to go thru all the effort for my own install to make it so it does lol :P

As far as the spec problem you're having try turning off the Explosion fix in NanoFx config. That should do the trick. As for it being too smooth, I think you're nuts.... :funny

No it won't overwrite anything else.  Sorry Jimmy!

Sovereign registry is a possibility.  Blank textures are for sure.  I'll just send them on request though instead of packing them up in the install.

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

You wouldn't be the only one.

Anyways awesome job on the Sovereign, I never thought I'd see a model that tops the CG Sovereign but here we are.

Then again DJ you never disappoint with your ships.
