BTW, great idea here.  Since we can be reasonably certain that the actual ship won't look exactly like this, the best way to get the official schematics or better pics to surface is to release this one. :P  Same principle as the effect that kicks in when you lose something, then replace it and then invariably you find what you lost. :P

Well, I released your bash to SFC. Several unapreciative &*^$&%@#!#'s said, essentially, it sucks and should be flown up someone arse. Keep up the good work lol.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Whats the poly count on that Excelsior now?  Someone Mentioned you were able to reduce it quite a bit.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

you need to do something about the yellowness of the turrets, which look god awfull in that pic. Try making them just a few shades lighter than the hull, so you can see them, but they don't stick out rediculously like those do. You could apply the same to the courageous bash.

Agreed... but definitely not as intensely as Starforce feels about it.

Beautiful model Wiley, I look forward to flying this, and your other recent creations. The Excelsior has always been my all time 2nd favorite ship and I can never have enough of them.

The mesh that limey98 exported was my detailed one, so the ingame model is 41k polys, and smooooth.  This is mainly meant for higher-end computers, because of the textures and poly detail.

It damages just fine.

If you release the Excelsior as a pack, will it include all cannon ships or a few cannon registeries and a few made up registeries?

Can't wait for 2014 to start.

No, it was the cut down version. About 21k. I can export the higher poly as well if you want.

Not sure about the Federation stripes on the secondary hull and warp nacelles since they arn't in the high res picture Paramount released. Glad to see you got rid of the registery on the underside of the deflector dish though. That thing stood out like a sore thumb, lol.

I would call it 'artistic license'. I say keep the registry and stripes as is. To hell with the canonista purists :P

The JJ Trek Enterprise is in no way part of the original canon anyways, so why bother having everything 100% accurate? I for one have come to like this Enterprise, despite having an utter hatred towards it after first seeing it. Good job Wiley :)

Gotta say, Wiley, I love the lighting under the buzzard overhang, fan-frakkin'-tastic.

This looks as good as it gets fellas.  The only way to get more canon is for Paramount to release schematics/orthographic views of the ship.  Top notch work Wiley, indeed worth of the name Enterprise.

Other than the missing blue warp glow on the underside of the nacelles(close to whats on the Kelvin) it's as perfect as it canget for now. You can't really see it unless you zoom in all the way on the HD image posted a few weeks ago.
All hail the messiah!
