That would be a yes. See attached. :P

About the TNG connie,

Try to avoid using Galaxy class nacelles or anything that even looks close to being Galaxy class nacelles. People thought in the past that by using Galaxy class nacelles on any ship, it makes it TNG era. Not so. It looks, well to be perfectly honest, lazy.

I'm not sure what else I can give you feedback on.

TMP Connie looks brilliant. Can't wait to fight off the Reliant with this beauty.

I defently think that your placing your stamp on one of the best star ship designs evey. Like what DJ did with the Galaxy, your knocking the connie right out of the park. Cookie!!

Also i agree with Bills, i'v seen lots of next gen connie refit, but there all jest changing the nacelle and adding 24 century phasers, not even placing the phaser strips, jest adding to the TMP emitter HPs.

An idea if you wouls like would be this. Its the Excalibur from STO. Personally i love the idea behind it. Most of the STO ship are FRAKKEN ugly, but this has a TMP classy touch. The nacelles i think would need more work, Vivace Class nacelles with some modification would be sweet. But the rest of the ship is great. I seen a side pic in a mag a week or so ago where they showed the neck profile. Your TMP neck would look mush better on her. What they did, you can see the torpedo launchers, wile the rest of the neck looks like that all the way up, jest an ugly triangle. Like i said, this is jest an idea.

Little more.

The TNG connie, will not be like I did the Gagarin, i.e a blend of tng elements such as necelles with an abassador saucer on a tmp body, its is going to be a very original design, which will cause some upset im sure lol, however it will stick with the two necelle, 2 pylons, hull, neck and saucer motiff..  :)

I enjoy reading ur ideas.

Ok, redrawn, the necelle grills this morning on both sides, and as Dawg pointed out, the glow was incorrect so I fixed that, it needs to have more of as curvature also I have just noticed, but I will do this later, as I want to do those front grills and the deflector. Nicely pointed out Dawgy.

Deflector is done, I know the shade looks off, but thats because of the scene lighting, its not that bright blue on the texture and that will show when I start adjusting the illum map, and getting rid of the skylight in later renders.

3 posts in a row Im gonna be in trouble soon  :D

Also, don't take a "lack of replies" to mean a "lack of interest". Far from it actually, this is one of the (if not THE) best looking TMP Constitution Class i've seen to date. And that's saying alot given that the CG Sovereign, and SNS Galaxy (nowadays DJ Galaxy) are also up at the "top of the line" ship models for BC.

DJ, Wiley and Markyd are the "modern day" CG and SNS modellers imho. Not saying other modellers are crap, but these guys are among the best.

Thanks fellas  8)

So that garden on the underside, I was looking at ref's and from different angles you always see different shades of colour, and I thought the only way Im gonna achieve that is to model an interior, but I want to keep the poly count low, so I have modelled in two inverted traingle shaped boxes, it adds 12 polys to the mesh as a total so it wont break the bank. I think this gives enough of the effect, without modelling interiors etc. So I now have the effect, but the textures I have in place are going to be changed or modified atleast at some point.
