Holler if you want help or a second opinion. :]

Thanks mate, I will certainly try to bring your (out there) thinking for the hull / pylon design  8)

I love that you are continuing with the TMP Connie. I can't wait to see your concept of a TNG Connie.

Thanks mate..  Like I said to start, if you want to really understand the connie to build a tng version.. you need to build the best version first.

Phaser - thanks ;)

always love ur work bro, u need to get on line more to msn so we can catch up!

Cheers mate, no msn at the minute.. but would be nice to catch up ;)

Still have some more detail to add, then I really need to clean them up a little more, have not sorted the smoothing groups yet. . its getting there, overall, have about 15% more work to do on the mesh,

yeah like i said mate there not done, stll adding plenty to them  :)

He knows.

Lol...   thanks..  yeah I know mates.. the detail will come  :)

Been busy recently, but had time today to finish the necelles, their now 100% unified and smoothing groups are done.

I now need to finish of small details, alter the pylons slightly and she is almost meshed out I reckon.

Thanks fellas, Dawg noticed a discrepancy with the pylons which has been fixed, and thanks to Jules for pointing out some detail that was missing on the necelle (they are a pain  8))

Ok, so I am now almost there, just deciding now what extra details to add, the balance between the poly mesh and the textures.. what I would like from you guys is the texture variations between the different connies cos I kinda just dont know the diff, and I want to make ther varients before I move onto the TNG connie, which i cant wait to show you. Also correct font type for the hull of the connie.

Thanks.

**EDIT**

Lol looking at that wip i need to fix the bottom of the pylon, doing that now, and going to add some detail to the pylons too.

No offense intended to Baz's connie, WZ and Moons Connie, and LC's Excelsiors which have all stood the test of time....but we now have the best Connie, and Excelsior class ships to ever roam the screens of any star trek game EVER!!! These ships are spectacular...and the Connie has no textures yet whatso ever and isn't even unwrapped yet!!!

So, I am just about done with the mesh, needs some slight tweeks here and there but I need to get started on the textures.

Final poly count is 11036.

At only 11k that is a beautifully constructed mesh.  Wish every mesh was as optimized as that.

Dawg, was kinda persistant in his P's regarding the RCS Thruster assy along the ship, he pointed some out so i modeled them in, then during an MSN convo with miles he said "If ya want me to be picky...!!!" he pointed out the remaining RCS thrusters I had missed, kudos to you both and to show, they are on and 100% to the studio model, even on the aft of the pylon that you cannot see  :)

Again thanks for the cookies guys  :)

Question:-

On the studio model the Botanical Garden windows are black? so, I have to assume that the ship was not hollow in that area and all detail was CGI in the way of a texture of sumkind? what i need is a good ref of this and other windows around the ship, also the rear observation lounge??

I am also using the font FederationBold which is the most accurate for most of the hull writing, bar the registry No, any help in this area is also greatly appreciated.
